Soon after breakfast begin your drive to nearby Akagera Nationa Park.

While Akagera does not gloat the sheer volume of animals you mught find in the Serengeti or Maasai Mara, Akagera is the only safari park can still gloat for four of the Big Five and plenty of possibilities to spot animals while in the wild.

You will start the adventure of your life by cruising with a boat on Lake Ihema to see hippos, crocodile and various birds. After boat cruise excursion, later in the afternoon you will proceed with a game drive in search of elephants, antelope, giraffes, zebras, leopards, primates, buffaloes, and the park's latest addition – a pride of lions.

After a lavish breakfast you will start a sunrise game drive on the Akagera National Park's savannah. You will get excited to see predators in actions while the sun rays cast a golden illumination over the plains, which is hard to forget.

In the afternoon you will have picnic lunch and dine out amongst the animals to maximize your time in the park. Throughout the course of the day you'll see vast herds of buffalo and zebras as you head north.

Again dinner and overnight will be in hotel of your choice inside the park.

Wake up early in the morning and have a breakfast and start your scenic drive between Akagera and Volcanoes National Park. Upon arriving in Kigali, you will make a stop for doing day trip excursion and get to visit places like Natural History Museum, the haunting Genocide Memorial, and bustling local craft market.

Later in the afternoon enjoy your lunch at the historic Mille Collines Hotel, also known as 'Hotel Rwanda'. After lunch, you will proceed to Volcanoes National Park to overnight in Musanze, which is Rwanda's second largest city.

Get your breakfast at the hotel you, proceed directly to the Volcanoes National Parks offices where you will meet your guides, after the briefing, you will commence the once in a lifetime experience of tracking the enigmatic mountain gorillas.

This tracking experience could take two to six hours of trekking through the mountain forest at relatively high altitudes, and there is no guarantee how long or how difficult your tracking experience will be since it depends where gorilla’s family is and the weather condition. One thing for sure is fitness is recommended for all wish to undertake the excursion.

The most memorable experience you are likely to encounter is when you get close contact with the gorillas when you get to find them and understand their family dynamics and getting to learn a bit about each gorilla’s distinct personality in their calm environment.

When you crave for more monkeys, as you will love spend this morning with the playful and fearless golden monkeys who call the park home. While here you will get to observe these acrobatic individuals as they go about their daily lives unbothered by your presence.

After lunch, you'll drive down to to Korongi on the shores of Lake Kivu to overnight.

Today you will continue your journey towards the Nyungwe Forest National Park, enjoy one of the world's most scenic drives as you cruise through hills and valleys along the shores of Lake Kivu.

While on the way, you will stop off in Nyungwe Forest National Park for your choice of afternoon activities such as a canopy walk, guided hikes, or a waterfall walk.

You'll then overnight in town ahead of tomorrow's chimpanzee trekking experience.

After early breakfast, take a packed lunch with you as you start your exploration for Rwanda's enigmatic and endangered chimpanzee population. Rwanda is estimated to have 400 chimpanzees in the country, there is no guarantee you will see chimps during four day's hike.

Your guide will do whatever it takes to get you a glimpse of our closest relatives in the animal kingdom. In the afternoon, you'll make the drive back to Kigali. Along the way, you may have time to visit the National Museum in Butare or the former King's Palace in Nyanza

You'll then overnight in town ahead of tomorrow's chimpanzee trekking experience.
