✈️ Fly-In Safari to the Serengeti & Mara River Crossings
Make the most of your time in the wild with this once-in-a-lifetime fly-in safari to the legendary Serengeti National Park. Bypass long road transfers and fly straight into the heart of the action, where you'll follow the Wildebeest Migration across the northern plains and witness one of the world’s most awe-inspiring natural spectacles — up close and personal.

Your journey concludes in the breathtaking Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you’ll descend into the ancient volcanic crater in search of the endangered black rhino and the powerful Cape buffalo, completing your Big Five sightings in style.

The Mara River Crossing (July–October)
During these peak months, the migrating herds move northward toward Kenya’s Maasai Mara, and the Mara River becomes the final, most perilous hurdle on their journey. There’s no fixed schedule — the herd’s movement is dictated by instinct and rainfall, making each day's safari a thrilling quest to track the action.

The Mara River crossings are the stuff of legend: wildebeest and zebras charging into crocodile-filled waters, desperate to reach the other side, while predators like lions and hyenas lie in wait nearby. It’s a raw, unscripted spectacle that draws photographers and filmmakers from around the world.

Yet it’s not just the drama of the crossing — the surrounding landscapes of Kogatende are equally unforgettable, offering endless photo opportunities and unforgettable moments as nature unfolds in its most untamed form.

Seasonal movement

The migration is a year-round journey

Rainfall and grazing shape the herds’ movement. We position the route for your month rather than promising a scheduled sighting.

01

January – March

Calving season unfolds across the lush southern Serengeti. Over 500,000 newborn wildebeest are delivered, attracting predators and offering thrilling game viewing.

02

April – June

As the rains give way to golden grasslands, the herds begin their movement northwest, creating picturesque scenes across the Western Corridor.

03

July – September

This is the most dramatic period, as the herds cross the crocodile-infested Mara River. Ideal for witnessing high-stakes survival and iconic wildlife moments.

04

October – December

The herds make their journey south once more, passing through the central and eastern Serengeti in a quieter, more exclusive safari window.
